I have a beloved Nashville B Bender Tele that I want some input on. I am toying with the idea of replacing the bridge pup with some kind of humbucker. Does Duncan make a pup with these specs: Humbucker in single coil size (must fit into Tele bridge pup space. No reroutes), nice hot humbucker sound with the ability to split coils for a more traditional Tele sound without being too thin. Does this exist in some capacity or another?
Welcome to the forum. There are quite a few that you could choose from. Something like the hot stack or lil' 59 should give you what you're looking for.
The tele little 59 will get you a nice humbucker tone but I don't think it sounds that great when split.. to tinny. It sounds pretty good when wired parallel, but the tele twang is comprimised a bit.
i have a little 59' for tele in my telecaster, depending on the amp you'll be able to get good usable split coil sounds as well as a fat humbucker sound.
B Bent-----------WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!
For a hot humbucker sound in your bridge there is no pup like the hot rails. Its quality in a split mode is something I can't tell you though but definitely check out the clips. Right now I'm runnin a Quarter Pound in my Tele.
