Hi all,
my guitar is a H/S/H setup, 5-way switch, and i would like to get the strat typical sound in position 2 and 4.
bidge : APH-1
middle : SSL-1 (RWRP)
neck : 59'
For the moment, i get a pretty decent result in position 4, by splitting the 59' and using its outer coil (close to the neck).
My problem is for position 2 : i get best result by splitting the APH1 and using its inner coil, but it is still not really great : it sound flat, treebly, not quot;funkyquot;, except if i decrease volume, but then it losts a lot of dynamic.
When using the outer coil of the bridge APH1, it is even worth.
Any suggestion of a different wiring, or a better bridge HB/SC combinaison ?
Thanks,
J.
I have a lil' 59 in the bridge and a single in middle. Try tinkering with the pup heights. I found that the quack happened when the one was quot;just soquot; in relation to the other's height. Wiring you have seems correct. Bear in mind that 'true' quack only cometh from true single coils.
