suggest me!!!
Two APS-1 or APS-2 for the neck and middle and a Twangbanger bridge. Lew
more heavy!!!!
I can get some fairly thick sounds from my APS1s and APS2 bridge. If you are wanting single sized buckers though:
59--classic bucker sound
Cool Rails--this is tonally between a 59 and a Hot rails lots of bass but still smooth
JBjr--This is a juiced up 59, it's thick and rich and sound great in the Bridge. The neck version sounds nice too. Listen to Maiden's Rock in Rio Blood brothers solo by Gers
Hot Rails--Thick, heavy, lots of bass. Listen to anything with Dave Murray

Seymour's tone wizard says
Hard Rock/ metal Bridge Hot Rails Middle SSL-1 Neck JB Jr.
or
Bridge JB Jr. Middle APS-1 Neck Cool Rails
or
Rock/Classic
Br Custom Flats
M APS-2
Neck APS-2
or
Br Cool Rails
M Antiquity Strat Texas Hot
Neck Texas Hots
and hot stack work well in the middle with hot rails (bridge) and jb jr o '59 jr (neck)??
Pentachris, there are no rules per se, just try to get what sounds good to you. I try to have less output in the neck and middle slot. My buddy has a guitar with a cool rails neck and hot rails middle. It sounds pretty good. The Cool Rails has a lot of bass almost as much as the hot rails.
I'd go with the JBjr middle and 59 neck, sticking with rails I'd go with two cool rails. OR hot stack middle, classic stack neck if I wanted a more vintage type tone.

My Strat with the authentic 60's strat pups/hot rails set gets me everywhere I want to be...all that's missing is a Tele twang sound and like a neck humbucker sound but that's what other guitars are for.
There's always good things being said about a hot rails/vintage rails/cool rails set too...
You might look into the California 50's matched set. It is a matching set of SSL-1's
