Mikes pics of your fretwork has now instilled trust into me. I have some pricing questions I would like to ask you, but the only reason I'm makeing this a thread is so that others can see and maybe help you out on a business level.
I have an early 90's squire strat neck. Love the thing to death. Lots of stuff wrong with the fret slots. Mostly they're too wide. Lots of itty bitty chipping of the rosewood around the fret slots as well. How much would it cost for a refret using dunlop 1500 size?
I also have a 86 squire 57RI with a maple one peice neck. Poly finish. Vintage tiny ass fretwire. Cant hardly play any leads on it, and the size of the strings I use have now worn some serious divits into the first position. How much for a refret using the size stated above. I would like to keep the original finish if possible (I know that because of this choice, it now makes it harder to remove the frets without the finish chipping, and harder to put them in without the finish chipping, so that in turn raises the cost)
also two acoustics that need refrets as well. I might as well send you my entire collection.
refretting can by done by any method you choose. Be it hammering/pressing, side entering, or gluing them down. Whatcha say bro?
beandip...Dave does great work, as you can see!
Drop him a PM and get the ball rolling.
You can ask Jeff H, Gr8Scott, and Xssive about his woek, but they will all tell you the same thing.
IT KICKS ASS!

MattPete also! Drop me a PM Beandip and we will get the ball rolling!
I'm sure his work is topnotch, but I don't know if fretwork is worth it on a squier. Not that your squier doesn't deserve it, but that cost might exceed the value of buying another.
Proxy, it's not for a squire guitar. It's for a parts guitar that I've built. The neck has got to be THE best feeling neck I've ever played. I dont care if it has no value to anyone else. That's fine with me. I get to keep my neck

More or less a chunk of wood is a chunk of wood. Its the back profile that makes it special to you and the attention to details. I can take a crap Mighty Mite neck and work my magic on it and it will make you want to choose it over a MIM, MIA, Warmoth etc, neck. Its attention to details. It dosent really matter whos label is on the neck, it can be turned into a killer neck in most circumstances. Its alot cheaper to start with a squier neck and make it killer than to start with something else.
Bump!Dave Rules!!!
