Hey guys, just up late and wanting to have a little fun. I've been thinking about this for a while and I finally came up with my list of my ten favorite guitarists. Note these are only my favorites, I'm not trying to make any quot;bestquot; or most influential list. Give it some thought and post your list. Now on to mine:

1. Eric Clapton- Barely at number one because he has just been so good for so long. From Mayall, to Cream, to Derek and the Dominoes, and on. I think his solos are about the most emotional I've ever heard.

2. Jimi Hendrix- Very close second. Like it all, but Voodoo Child and Red House in particular.

3. Jimmy Page- The master of all that is rock. Love the solos on I Can't Quit You Babe, In My Time of Dying, and Since I've Been Loving You.

4. Stevie Ray Vaughan- Awesome style that is complemented by his searing tone.

5. Duane Allman- Best slide player ever in my opinion. If you listen to Live at the Fillmore East, the minutes seem to go by in seconds. Though his solos are long, they are never boring.

6. B.B. King- I chose him out of all the King's because I love the economy of his style. A good singer too, I think.

7. Robert Johnson- Laid the groundwork for every guitarist mentioned above. His playing perfectly complements his voice.

8. Peter Green- I hear a lot of B.B. King in him, but he went even further with stuff like The Super-Natural.

9. Monte Montgomery- The only recent player on my list. His live version of Little Wing is absolutely amazing.

10. Santana- Seems to play with passion all the time. Love the combo of latin rhythms and blues-based playing.

runners-up: Van Halen, Eric Johnson, Mike Bloomfield, Freddie King, Albert King, Keith Richards, Buddy Guy

So there you have it, I guess it's pretty obvious I like the blues. Tell me what you think.

all the guys from Testament

-Mustaine: agressivenes and attitude. speed soloing and the best school for riffs.

-Petrucci: right hand precision and speed, lots of creativity. He is nuts. best tone of them all

-Hetfield: my quot;introductorerquot; to metal. riff and sings.

-Gilbert: just got into him. racer X is my favourite works from him.

-Wylde: you gotta have him. great thick tone. a legend.

-Laiho: best melodies ive ever heard on guitar. great use of floyd and sweeps. gets along with warman on keyboards creating great music.

-Slash: great quot;bluerquot; and hard rocker.

-Michael Romeo. he is just out of this world. he sounds like a keyboard.
