How is it's brightness and mids compared to a JB?

I've used them both and the PAF Pro is not nearly as bright as a JB. It's a VERY balanced pickup in the EQ....just look at the EQ charts as well.

That being said, I prefer the JB in most of my guitars.

I know on the tone charts it shows the PAF Pro as being a more even EQ'd pickup but from my observations I dont agree with it. I think the PAF Pro has alot more highs than a JB does definately has less output.

I find the PAF PRO to be balanced in tone with a little peak in the upper mids and treble to let you cut through and also can give your leads a slight wah like tone) its a great pickup in the bridge if you dont need that much power, its sounds fairly filled out but still cuts through well. n the neck thats a different story.
