I am going to get a new guitar soon and have about $300-$320 to spend. I play pop-punk, punk, and alt rock. I am looking at an Epiphone Dot Studio. I was just wondering if anyone has tried or has one and if they are a good pick for me. Thank you for the help.
What kind of amp do you play through? A semi-hollow might have feedback problems at loud volumes, and I've found Epi pickups need to be replaced. Cool guitar, though.
In my (former) punk/rock/little bit of pop-punk band the guitarist used an MIM Strat with a Hot Rails. Literally a perfect guitar for the style.
I don't know if a semi-hollow body guitar is the way to go.. my suggestion is a solid-body guitar with p90s
