Hi guys, It says it has a powerful mid and bass response, but what about the hi end? Does it have a enough hi end, or lots of edginess or bite and can it cut thru the mix well?
With the tapped single coil option do you get a good useable vintage sound, or is it more like a humbucker approximation split? Also does it retain its hi end bite when tapped.
Is the quarter pounder a brighter lead pickup both normal and tapped?
the hot has a smoother high end than the qp. tapped both get a more traditional tone. the qp has more bite and less mids than the hot.
when tapped both have plenty of spank
I've been thinking of dropping a set of Hot Tele Tapped in my US Schecter, which is basically a Tom Anderson Tele. The Tom Anderson Monstertones that came with it sound good, but are noisy as hell. If anyone's tried them, do you think they'd be a good match for this swamp ash/rosewood tele? It already has a pullup tone control for tapping the coils, so it'd be a drop in replacement.
