I have 2 of them:
- a 1972 Bassmaster, essentially a JTM-45 replica
- a 1973 Studio Mate, essentially a Deluxe Reverb replica
Both are hand wired, built like tanks and sound incredible, just like old Fenders and Marshalls, but at a fraction of the cost. Anyone else using these?
I think Stevo has one of those bassmasters, and he talks about them all the time, if I remember right.

As well he should be!
I have 4.
68 Bassmaster
69 Bass Mate
70 Bassmaster MK II
72 Bassmaster
The tube recftified Bassmaster from 66 or so is the JTM 45, not your particular amp as it has the solid state rectifier and no choke. That said, it does not mean they don't sound spectacular once dialed in. The non choke models I have needed just a bit more in the way of lower mids and sustain as well as getting rid of that 1000pf cap on volume 2. I also really like the switch to 1 meg pots on the volume.
I truley have a love affair with these amps., I can't decide which one I like best as they all sound fantastic. The build quality on them is right up there with Hiwatt, they don't break.
my bad, it wasn't stevo then, it was kevlar3000 I meant

Awesome!
I have this 2-12 combo. I think the model is YGL Mark 3. It has a clean sound better than most Fender Twins. Great amp for the money.
I just bought one but it's still a work in progress as I order the cab for it and I do a few simple mods to it. I hope to be gigging with it by January! It's a 1969 (or maybe it was 68..I checked the year) Bassmaster MK II...KILLER amp!
