NICE guitar! It was possibly the heaviest guitar I've ever played, but it had a huge thick tone that sounded absolutely awesome for bluesy lead work. Tons of mojo, and a very comfortable neck that played like butta. I still haven't played a decent Gibson lp, but if that's what the fuss is about, I can definitely see why. Still, I don't think it really blew my schecter out of the water like a guitar in that price range should but it was certainly a very sexy axe.

Play a Norlin-era LP Custom. The Heritages are practically weightless in comparison.
Those LP's should be banned and burned
Must contain enough moist from about three rain forrests.
Defently a sit down and play guitar.
Heritage are really nice guitars.
I've liked the ones I've tried out.
But, of course the only thing I have in my pocket at the time is lint.
There are some good Norlins out there.
John Sykes sure gets a sweet tone out of his '78 LP CustomKent

I'm not saying that they're bad, but I do need a nap after playing mine.
I was reading an article 2 nights ago and one of the focuses of the article was the weight of Norlin LP's...one of the writers has a wine red Custom that weights over 19 pounds!
just bring a good chiropractor on tour w/ you!
I recently purchased a 03 Heritage h-150-cm in vintage burst for $700 (and 2 set-ups)
I was amazed at how much that funky schaller tailpiece effects the tone of the guitar .. made it thin and shrill .. way too much top end .. great for a country player maybe ... so I left the roller bridge in place and swapped over to LP style tailpiece and BAM! .. the LP tone was right there ... I actually had to re-adjust the pup height after that .. completely different cheracter.
mine is one of the lightest I've played (lighter now w/o that tailpiece too) .. I really love the neck shape .. sorta more of a full quot;Cquot; .. plenty of meat but not a log ~gt;
my only real gripe is that the neck binding quot;nibsquot; are not as clean as I would like to see .. nothing that a lil filing and sanding wont cure .. outside of that the guitar is solid .. fit and finish and very good and the top has some nice flame w/ a bit of really cool spalting that makes it pretty and unique.
I've been playing the heck outta it .. until yesterday .. I pulled the trigger on an R7 LP .. and well ... it's got my full attn!
Oribiter,
Would love to see a pic of your Heritage. Sounds sweet.
It does seem a lot of guys swap out the Schaller bridge and tail.
I guess you can request a standard tune-o-matic and tailpiece stock if one has their Heritage ordered.
Kent
I love those guitars. Was thinking about picking one up just last summer...boy...nice guitar.
I'll try to get some pics together ..
I really couldnt see buying a heritage new though... the used market is soo good on these. one of the best deals going IMO.
