and I ordered a Gamp;L Legacy 2HB. It was an out of body experience.....I came to and there was a phone in my hand thanking me for my order.

Specs include Alder body painted Tobacco Burst (with hardtail), #1 sized maple neck and fretboard with gunoil tint, white creme pickguard with black SD's and knobs.

I'll replace the JB and '59 with a Custom and APII (depending upon feedback and input from GearJoneser).

Now I just have to wait the 8-12 weeks for Gamp;L to do their thing.

Schweet. Let us know when you get it. Gamp;L rocks.

Out of body experiences don't always have such happy results. I'm glad this one turned out ok. That should be an awesome guitar after the pup swap.

ROFL!!

so now it's called an out of body experience when gas hits?i had one a couple of weeks ago i guess.. when i ordered my rhoads hahacongrats dude

You might find that the stock USA Duncans it comes with are fine. You could always swap the JB out for a CC or C-5. If you ordered it from Gamp;L, you should call them and ask if they can install any Duncans you request. Unlike Fender, they may work with you.

I can't believe you are looking to get rid of the Hardtail!!!!

I'm not sure what the heck I'm gonna do with the Hardtail. I played it tonite at practice and remembered why I liked it so much in the first place. I made the mistake of playing some PRS Custom 22's lately and they've got me hankering in a big way.

I like the idea of having a Strat type guitar in the stable along with the Tele type Asat Deluxe. The question now is which guitar is going to occupy that third slot.

Life was simpler when I was happy with a $150 Ibanez with stock pups and a solid state Peavey!

You'll pay for it. Expect to find more shoes in the closet.

sweet!!

Wellllllll....I haven't told her yet. This time around I think I'll do something preemptively nice for her to cushion the blow when the Gamp;L shows up at her office (which is where I have the equipment shipped). I've discovered it's better to send flowers before you screw up instead of after.

WoW bro...that sounds like it's going to be a freakin sweet guitar...Gamp;L's Rock!!!

we'll need a full review and pics when you get it of course...btw...that's a nice collection of fine guitars amp; amps you've got going there!!!

Thanks....I'm working on it. This last purchase is kinda pushing it a little bit, but I stood by my rule of cash only. That little rule has slowed down the acquisiton process considerably!

that's my rule too...and the layaway process doesn't speed things up much either...all though you get that quot;i almost own itquot; thing.

I love Gamp;L's so much. My envy is astounding.

Nice!

1 to asking them to install the pups. Why not? If it's going to take them 8-12 weeks to put her together, why not put her together RIGHT?
