Well, damn. I've snapped a string on my strat already and I've got no replacement 9s in the house to put on it*
I've heard claims that Fender's bullet strings help with tuning stability on a strat trem, but I've never had the chance myself to test this so far.. Do they really help at all with tuning stability? Or should I just go ahead and buy a set of 9s by my favourite brand instead? I quite like the feel of the Fender strings that are on it already, so I'd be happy to continue using them.
* I've got 10s on all my other guitars.. this guitar came set up with 9s and already feels and sounds the way I want it to, so it's staying with 9s. Also, that means I don't have to re-setup the float on the trem
The Bullets are nice indeed, and the ball version is also very stable, use nothing but Fender strings these days, they keep up very well, and I abuse them alot

Congrats on that beauty strat, again! It's the olympic white USA I'm thinking of, right?
How do you like having the trem floating? Does it stay in tune well? I'm not a big abuser, but I'd love to set mine up for that up-bend when shimmering on chords.
Anyway, I think that a fair amount of that is wishful thinking on Fender's part. However, those bullets are well made strings, as Rid mentions and they do hold up well. Most Fenders are shipped with them from the factory, so pretty much any new Fender you try in stores would have them on it, and they sound good to me.
Overall, I'd say the tuning and trem stability comes more from the setup, but then again, every little bit helps, and there's got to be some advantage to these things, by Fender's 'science' behind it.
I say if you like the sound, stick with them. If not, try some brands you like and see if there's a noticeable change in the trem's feel and stability. I doubt there will be, as it sounds like your trem is set up just fine.
I concur with Ocifer. I can see that Bullets take the ball wrap out of the occasion; this can cause problems, but I feel it is far more important to pay close attention to other aspects of the set-up, like a neat string wrap, correctly cut nut and balanced trem. My Strats hold their tuning beautifully with standard Dean Markley Signature Series strings.
i reckon they do since they hold snug in the trem block. less play than ball ends. tried them in my strat and tuning stability is slightly improved. is it just me or fender strings don't really last?

In my experience, no more or less than EB or D'addarios I've tried. I think it's more of a personal thing, people's sweat is chemically different from others', too.
I break the high quot;Equot; in Fender sets like there's no tomorrow. I usually use D'Addario and I've never had the same problem with them. I seem to be the lone voice in the wilderness, so take that into account.
I have never broken any Fender Super Bullets, but then again I have never broken any strings ever. With regards to tuning stability, I would say that they seem to retain tune better. I have used Ernie Balls and Fender Super Bullets on both my Strats and the Fenders *seem* to hold their tuning better.
D'Addario
They are related to rubber bands nowadays
Have not had a fair set of dikkedario's since they introduced those nogood eco strings.
