I am looking at the Schecter Classic guitars. I know that most Schecters have quot;Duncan Designquot; pickups which are inferior to the s. The Classic is advertised as having the Seymore Duncan JB and Jazz pickups. Are these the real SD pickups or Duncan Design pick up? Any help appreciated

They are the real seymour and duncans, not duncan designed. Its a good guitar, I was thinking of buying one, but I went with the godin aignautre lg.

like I said before, it really is a great guitar. quality control is a bit of a problem, some of them have a really good finish and some don't. Also the tone knob is quite dodgy. It loses about all of its tone when you reach the last 10% of it, instead of being gradual. They may have fixed it, but thats been a problem for a while. Also quality of wood changes, some people get good stuff, some don't. Its still a good guitar though, very nice

Odd, every Schecter I've played has been a good guitar. Though I will admit, the Classics don't seem to be as good as the C-1 ...even though it's supposed to be a step up.

The tone knob is something I've noticed on two. I've never seen one with a bad finish, but my friends have. Its a really awsome guitar, but quality control is not up there with Hamer or Godin, for the price its really good value anyway, and I was thinking of buying one myself, I just went Godin Signature LG because I knew they were flawless in every way, IMO. And I dont like my guitars made in Korea when I pay that much., even though it doesn't seem to be bad for the classic.
