It is kickin' rad. Brown gave me my Carvin Tube 100 power amp yesterday and I couldn't stop playing with it. I thought it might be a little sterile due to the digital preamp; luckily, I was proven wrong. This little red kidney bean makes me contemplate whether or not I really need a Tri-Axis. I can't wait until the men in the brown suits give me my Behringer FCB1010 tomorrow so I can get the best out of my nerdy tone machine.
So who else here runs their PODxt through a tube power amp? Any tips and tricks?
I run the predecessor, the POD 2.0 through a Mesa Boogie 20/20 with the deep bass mod. It's the cloest thing to a Dual Rectifier this side of a grand.
How much is the Mesa 20/20?
Would an atomic amp make the sound slightly better?
And also, did you have time to program the FB1010 dude? I'm considering one. Much cheaper than the official pedal board.
I just got the FCB1010 today and sadly I haven't programmed it yet. I'm about to do a little right now, but I'm getting a PC MIDI interface tomorrow so I can program it using one of the cool applications people have made.
I almost bought a PODxt Live to go with my Marshall power amp. I ended up buying an ADA MP-1, but that's definitely the best way to run a POD.
well, i run my POD 2.0 through an Atomic, which is pretty much like running it through a tube power amp..... just a much smaller one. Anyways, a POD matched up with a tube power amp is amazing. Its so damn versatile its rediculous. I think that the tubes really help the amp models sound more like the real deal, and give them more personality. When i got my Atomic, I started using models on the POD that i never used before when i ran it into a solid state or direct. It just proves that tubes can't be beat.
im still debating on whether to get the xt or xtl i changed proffesions from bassist to guitarist i have a mesa 400 that is pretty much a power amp and im gonna run it through there or direct into my mixer for recording. does the xt have wall warts and wat does L6 Edit do
