hey guys i was just lookin for some thoughts on what would go together good for this type of setup.. i want to have lots of distortion and sustain but yet be able to play warm softer solos as well.. i was lookin at maybe gettin a evolution for the humbucker but then what for the singles would go good with it? i was also thinkin maybe a screamin demonz.. i thought of gettin it routed for 2 humbuckers and no singles but would rather fine 3 that match well with eachother... any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hi esp; Welcome to the forum.

One of the things that I like in an HSS configuration, is to use one of the quot;tappedquot; singles for the two SS positions. Either a Hot, Quarter Pound, or a Custom, (SSL-3, SSL-4, or SSL-6). By getting them tapped, you get a wide range of tones with just an additional switch. Whether you use them by themselves, or with the humbucker.

I use my QP's with a Custom 5. With them quot;tappedquot;, the humbucker is predominant, and the QP's enhance it. With them full-on, they predominate, and C5 enhances.

Its a great pallette of sounds. My 2-cents worth.

Artie

Edit: One more quick thing . . . use one push/pull pot to quot;tapquot; the singles, and one more to quot;splitquot; the humbucker, and you have an amazing array of tones.

well i decided i am gonna go with the screamin demonz SH-12..i am gonna look into what you suggested and i am also looking into the lace sensor pickups for the 2 single coils.. thanx for the welcome and the tips
