I've taken a real liking to the tone on that album, especially on tunes like quot;Welcome.quot; The shred tone on that song is just awesome to me. I've heard they used Riveras, but I've also heard that Mick Thompson used a VHT Pitbull Ultralead, and Jim Root used a Bogner Uberschall, any confirmation on that?
Chances are, they used a billion different amps.
I've heard all the ones you listed, plus a Krank Revolution.
I remember reading something like a Bogner Caveman and Uberschall, as well as the VHT UL. The Rivera's were only for cleans.I personally think there's much better tones out there; they took a very strange approach to recording that album.
