Ok I did a search but couldnt find the awnser to my question so here it is. I redid the elecronics on my guitar and i put it back together and everything and i wanted to know if there is a way to test to see if i did it works right without string it up? I ask this cause i have no strings and wont beable to get to the store for a while.

I just touch the pickups with a screwdriver or plyers... switch the pickup on and you should hear it click when you touch the pup, switch it off and the click should stop. If that doesn't happen, then it's prolly wrong.

I use an electronic metronome. The pickups pick up the movement in the speaker, so if I hear the metronomes clicking through my amp I know I've done it right.

Same tricks work with the ringer off a cellphone.

1 on the screwdriver thing, but i use the gain channel at low volume.. the 'click' is a bit more obvious

Use a remote control; simple as that. If you've wired everything right, you should hear a pulsating sort of beep, although it varies from one remote to another (believe me, I've tried this with quite a few remotes... which I'm almost a little sad to admit sometimes).

Either way, the screwdriver always works too, but I'm a fan of the remote, myself. You can really use a huge variety of things though. Headphones, for example.
