A: F*ck No!

Professional, lol.
Anybody know the story behind this? Is it a beef or do people simply get the two companies confused?

I imagine it's just anger from all the confusion. ESP owns Schecter, but they operate totally independent of each other.
ESP owns schecter? as in literally or as in pwned?
ESP bought Schecter but they are still working seperately. isn't it the same with Fender and Jackson?
Schecter is a subsidiary company that runs seperate from ESP. ESP does own them.
Another way to look at it is Fender, guild, jackson, etc. etc. All are subsidiaries. Jackson for example runs seperately from Fender although technically owned by them.

lol, i think it's the second one
they both have the same quot;parent companyquot;.
Hey, I noticed that they have an endorsement process. I think I'll put a promo pack together and send it in. Can't hurt.....
Q: Does Schecter's quot;Contact Usquot; web submission form work?
A: F*ck no.
you had problems with it Rich? i've contacted schecter about 5 times and they reply within a day and are very helpful from what i've found. i'll send you a PM with a direct e-mail to one of the guys there that has been real helpful to me.

I got a quick response from Schecter as well. That was before they redid their website though.
Some Jacksons are made in Fender plants, so Fender and Jackson are a little bit more affiliated than Schecter and ESP.

Some Schecters Diamonds and ESP LTDs are made in the same factory.
Final QC is handle seperately.

thus why schecter guitars are far far far far more consistent than ltd guitars are. higher QC and a set up and fret dressing for each one when it hits the CA factory in the US.

ESP is the parent company. In the US ESP is just a guitar company, but in Japan ESP is a sound corporation, Electronic Sound Products is the name and they make all kinds of stuff not just guitars
So if they technically are affilliated, why are they so against the idea in their FAQ?
If you ask a CEO at Ford quot;Hey aren't Fords and Mercurys the same thing?quot; They'll probably say no. It's the whole idea of building your products own identity in the marketplace. That may be a bad example, but I think you get the point.
A buddy is an ESP sales rep... i could find out the story from him....

Schecter is a wholly owned subsidiary of ESP and has been for something like 15 years or so.. It´s true that Schecter denies any connection.... but denying it doesn´t mean it´s not true Originally Posted by ankalarSome Jacksons are made in Fender plants, so Fender and Jackson are a little bit more affiliated than Schecter and ESP.
I have no idea where you got this.... nor can I understand why people are still perpetuating this bs almost 3 years after the takeover....
Fender owns J/C, yes. BUT:
Fender and Jackson´s japanese plants are miles away from each other,
J/C doesn´t produce in korea, Fender doesn´t produce in India.....
And in the USA they´re merely in the same building....
Fender owns Jackson, yes... but that doesn´t by any stretch of the imagination mean that Fender is making Jacksons..... Exact same as Schecter /ESP: They´re owned by them, but operate completely separately, with an occasional part or feature provided or licensed out by the other company (Stratheads on the PC1, for ex.)
As far as why Schecter would deny it the way they do: because a lot of people are boycotting ESP on the grounds of the ripoffs they´ve done for the last 30 years and continue to do, and therefore wouldn´t even consider a Schecter, USA made or not, because either way you´re still giving ESP money... That´s the reason I wouldn´t buy a Schecter at the current time except early 80s and used
