I am trying to get some folks from the discussion group that live in or around Atlanta together to go see Eric Johnson. I think it would be a cool little outing. Here are the details from the email I get from the venue he'll be at. Let me know if you are in and we'll coordinate the details via email.

Very few musical artists achieve a true signature style -- one which makes comparisons to other musicians impossible. But Texas guitarist Eric Johnson arguably comes as close to this echelon as any musician from the past quarter-century. Like fellow Lone Star State guitarists Johnny Winter, Billy Gibbons, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnson blends the rock style of Jimi Hendrix and the blues power of Albert King. Yet Johnson's wide array of additional influences (from the Beatles and Jeff Beck, to jazz and Chet Atkins) make for a guitar sound as unique as his fingerprints.

If I still lived in Atlanta, I would definitely go. That's gonna be a killer show.

This is WAAAYYYYY too good to pass up, and Johnny A is a KILLER opener!! I'm a fixin' to go!

I wish he had some Canadian stops on this tour. I really want to see him.
