Alright so I'm breaking down and ordering an amp from Scott with Celtic Amps. I am ordering the Aislinn in a 3x10quot; combo. now my problem is....what do I want? Do I want to go typical tweed of the era? or should I go with a dark green tolex and a wheat grill cloth? or maybe dark green tolex and a different color grill cloth? take the poll, and submit opinions, please

But I REALLY LIKE the dark green/wheat combo....that got my vote.

Definitely NOT the black/silver....too boring IMHO OOOPS, sorry, I just reread that amp; you asked tweed amp; oxblood....

Kind of up there with the black amp; silver if you ask me....I DO LIKE the Blond tolex/Oxblood combo. Look at the amp Alvin Lee Fan posted. It looks pretty sweet

a 3x10 Bandmaster clone should be tweed, end of story! BTW, that will be a great amp...a 3x10 bandmaster is a killer amp!

just to be accurate, tweed is not quot;tolexquot;, and tweed amps typically use a dark grill with wheat stripes, not oxblood, which is a solid color originally on the blonde era amps

I think there are purists (like me) who think the tweed actually breathes better, especially if you're going for the real tweed era vibe with a solid pine cab

that said, if you're not tried to tradition, then you can get very creative

probably my favorite cosmetics, like Puck, are the blonde/ oxblood amps

green/ wheat is also a nice combo - Diaz built a lot of amps with this combo, and they're very attractive

Dr Z's amps have some nice cosmetics that don't stray too far from tradition, like blonde/ pepper or black/ wheat, and Bad Cats have a bunch of options - some with a lot of *bling*. I thought when Matchless came out, they had some of the best built, best looking cabs, with a somewhat new look that didn't get too crazy.

Green wheat was my choice...I've always liked that color combo...or purple and silver cloth..like old Marshall Majors.

The Hot Cat I just picked up is Black and Tan and it makes me thirsty...

I'm partial to the stained wood.

The only way I'd do stained wood is if I got a hard case for it too...I gig kinda hard so I don't really wanna go stained wood.

Cherry cabinet with a nice dark red stain. Put it in a flight case and you can gig with it AND have it sit in your living room and have it look sexy. That's what I'd do..if he's up for doing the work.

I voted Green/Wheat.

oh I'm sure he'd be up to the work, but I like the look of the green tolex with the wheat and a silver badge logo...that's gonna look so sweet!
