The FedEx guy came and delivered my 2002 American Strat in Sienna Burst. It seems like every time I'm waiting to get a guitar, I'm always on the crapper when it really does come.

It plays really nicely and sounds great too. I'm not sure what pickup is in the bridge, but the singles are stock. I'll take off the pickguard when I change strings to see just what the heck I'm abusing pinch harmonics on. Yay!

I believe it's a two piece body. They were pretty clever in hiding it though! I'm not sure what the bridge is because I don't know if it's the stock PG or if he (the guy on eBay) changed it. He said he put a new SD pickup in it, but he might have just said that because he didn't know they came stock.

THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FINISHES FENDER OFFERS! NICE SCORE! Now use it on stage with 311 next time you come to CT haha

yeah u gotta look real close to see the 2 piece on the body. it not obvious at all.

Maybe I should go take a dump too...then the SG Standard I've been waiting on for a week and a half might come. Nice Axe! That was one of my favorite Strat colors for awhile.

I just walked downstairs and saw a guitar box sitting on my front porch I'm outta here! Later...

Sorry to disappoint, but I think it's a 3-piece body. Most USA Fenders are. You can see in the picture on the back where the grain forms a V - that's one joint. The other is just to the right of the heel plate.

That's not to say it isn't a GORGEOUS guitar!!! I love that finish!!! Congratulations!

Oh it's not disappointing. I have no problem with more pieces on the body as long as it doesn't look out of place. The sustain/tone issue is negligable for me. And yeah I definitely see the third piece now.

I got it for $600. Not a steal, but this is in pretty much immaculate condition (the trem bar cover was still on and everything), and I think I'm going to keep this for quite a while.
