I know I'm opening up a can of worms by posting this, but:

Would any of you actually be interested in me building say 2 pedals like these a week(Minus the face graphics)....Curious for now though? All of the holes are drilled with my drill press and are pretty lined up I guess? LOL

I just completed building this ToneBender MK2 for Curly and Man does this pedal sound fantastic! The pedal started off really great as I took my time putting it together..The matched germaniums and the circuit as a whole sounds really great....Gary you are absolutely going to love this pedal buddy! I was playing a whole bunch of first and second Zeppelin stuff and some old Bowie stuff through it earlier...Wow! I will be building one for myself...Best fuzz I've played through in awhile buddy! I was going to keep a low profile about the pedal so you wouldn't all bombard me to build alot more, but Gary's pedal had to be shared with you all....Gary...You have the option of adding a small pf cap at the 2 empty socket sites if you feel the pedal is too bright? I thought the pedal was perfect as it is to be honest with you...You can also pop the germaniums and C1 out if you like...C1 is your input cap and if you increase it,you increase your overall lows...

Gary wants to do the lettering and maybe some graphics?Ah nice Strat

John you are gonna be in trouble now. You sure make the ToneBender MK2. I predict you'll be getting a flood of orders for more. Are you prepared for that?

The wiring looks very nicely done. You gave yourself plenty of room to work. What's the outside look like?

It sounds killer.

Thanks guys....I Like room and I Like neat...I'm anal about neat and clean! I see I need to shorted a ground wire and a few other leads after looking at my own pictures now...LOL

Heck....A few of these builds a week could make some nice extra spending money for me maybe? Very time consuming though and I wasn't planning on doing that, but Curly is one of first buddies on this forum and just an all around great guy! Period!

Well I would hire you without any second thoughts!!
Your stuff looks very good.
Hehe and some of our prototypes are very messy
Yours is nice and clean.

OK...I see...Curly gets custom built pedals, but not me!

JK brother...that looks GREAT...Gary should really dig it!

No! Gary was the first and quot;onlyquot; forum member to date that asked if I'd build him a handwired pedal....LOL

Problem I see,is I have too many buddies on the forums like Curly!

By the way, I like that LED...is is purple or a blue one??

Thanks RID....I always liked you buddy! I need to do a bit more tidying on this one for Curly...Shorten and reposition some wires, but the pedal is very quiet and sounds fantastic! I'm not a fuzz guy and I had a Fulltone 69 for a short time, but I really like this fuzz and I quot;willquot; build one just like this one for myself...

I knew you were messing with me Christian and no problems here with it buddy!

I've still got get off my wah pedal long enought to get it done!

Let me ask this though...I have always wanted a Colorsound Tonebender...how close is that thing to that DeArmond you re-did for my dad earlier this year?

You are welcome man
For sure it is nice talking to all you guys again.
Ah violet, cool!
Love it, nice touch to an old classic pedal.
Love the cream knobs too.

So, does it bend tones, or not?

It squares them off

I remember liking your Dad's pedal alot and maybe this one sounds even better to me? This pedal easily does the first 2 Led Zeppelin album tone and I also hear Ziggy Stardust generation Bowie, plus I was playing old Alice Cooper stuff through it...It's a fantastic pedal and now I need to build myself one! I don't currently own a fuzz, but I'll own this one! I can build the thing for myself cheap and get the satisfaction of doing it myself and maybe making it better, but it's fantastic as it is without the mods..

Roll the volume back on the guitar and you get a real nice variation of really fuzzy for leads or a clearer tone for chording and it's very early Classic Rock N Roll sounding...Right up my alley!

I think I'd know how to make your Dad's pedal true bypass now also....If there's room for the bigger switch?

Yeah...The cream knobs were what Curly sent me with some of the key components...He had a matched set of germaniums that he's been sitting on since 2001 and we found a great home for them! Curly will be very happy with this one!

That DeArmond has a lot of room left inside it...to be honest I'd like to maybe get you to build me one of those...I love that DeArmond unit and over the years I have owned 2 of them and my Dad has had 3 but now they go for CRAZY money.

Let me ask you this John...where do you find schematics for these things?
