First i'd like to thank all the guys on here who helped my with wiring up my new guitar, your knowledge is greatly appreciated, my so called grounding problem, which was driving me up the bloody wall turned out to be a quot;stupid simple wiring mistakequot; in which i got the hot amp; ground of the ouput jack round the wrong way. But thankfully all is in perfect working order. I've enclosed a pic so you can see the guitar you helped me so much with.

Awesome man, glad you have it all working. That guitar is a beauty!
Beautiful axe Matt. What pups are those.
Since your thread title is what it is . . . I'll share one of mine . . .
When I put the Cool Rails in my Strat-o-clone, I did it using the Fralin blend pot method. But I also accidently got the phase reversed. (The EMG singles are reverse from SD's.) My initial thought was . . . this sounds awful. Why does everyone like this?!
I had already removed the blend pot when I realized what was wrong.
You should hear what dialing in a bridge pup . . . out-of-phase . . . sounds like. Rod Sterling would be proud.
The pups in this guitar are Custom in the bridge and a Jazz neck, its listed on my signature, although it was a bit optimistic as i hadn't actually constructed the axe yet.
gorgeous piece of wood
glad it all worked out
enjoy and play in good health
