hey bros..... i think ive decided i dig el84 amps and im going to be shopping for one... i'd just like for you guys to give me a list of amps that run el84s....i know some, but im sure there are plenty more
i really have no restrictions..other than i can't really afford anything that is boutique or rare or etremely vintage (like an old 60s AC30 etc)
any help would be appreciated
Crate Vintage Club Series
Peavey Classic Series
only ones I know off the top of my head that aren't expensive
my hughes and kettner edition tube 20 has el84s in it.
Mesa Blue Angel- el84s AND 6v6s, alone or together..
Mesa Boogie 20/20 gets my pick.

from : localhost/are other amps based on power tube design
Hope it helps
I love my Peavey Classic 30 and I loved the Peavey Delta Blues 210 even more.
Traynor YCV 50 are el84 amps that are supposed to sound fantastic . . . I'm looking for one in music stores around here to try . . .
The Fender Blues Jr runs EL84s....It's a nice little amp.....sounds pretty decent stock...but it really comes to life with a tube and speaker change.....it's pretty affordable too....I got mine used...that's the way to go IMO.... All together, for the amp, shipping, a Jensen C12N RI, and some JJ EL84s and 12ax7s, it ran me $340....
oh yeah....the Fender Pro Junior runs on EL84s too.....
so does the Mesa F-30.....
I haven't played either of these two, but just giving you more options

Winfield Thomas amps are pretty cool. from : localhost/guy makes great boutique stuff, for really affordable prices for what your getting. You also get to choose tolex and everything. My guitar teacher likes these amps over his plexi's that says something.
ive got around $1000-1100 to spend.......but that is included as either a combo, or with a 2x12 cab (probably Avatar)
dood, get a marshall 18 watt clone, if you check ebay you can find 1x12 combos in the $750-$1100 range
Laney VC30 - here's the specs:
The VC30 is designed for the player who wants 30 watts of classic British Class A tone. Three ECC83/12AX7's and a quartet of EL84 valves produce all the rich, vibrant, warm tones you've ever dreamt of. The VC30 amplifier comes in two speaker options, a single 12quot; HH Invader Vintage speaker - the VC30-112, or a pair of 10quot; HH Invader Vintage speakers - the VC30-210. Each combo has a matching extension cabinet, the GS112VE/single12quot; HH Invader Vintage speaker and the GS210VE/pair of 10quot; HH Invader Vintage speakers. Mixing and matching these extension cabs with the VC30 combos produces results from another dimension.
30 Watts CLASS A
Channel Switching
12AX7 Pre-amp valves
4 x EL84 Output valves
Hi amp; Lo inputs
1 x 12quot; HH Invader Vintage (VC30-112)
2 x 10quot; HH Invader Vintage (VC30-210)
I kind of liked a new Marshall 2000 series combo i tried out that had EL84's... I think it was a 40 watter....
I own a Peavey Classic 30 combo and a Peavey Classic 50-(head version)... nice amps.
WhoFan
I had a Fender Blues Jr that I messed with all over the place and it never worked out for me. For the money you can spend you can do a lot better. If you like the British tone mentioned above you can always stuff a Celestion Alnico Blue speaker into your favorite combo, and even swap out tubes into EL84's while your at it. Just a thought.
I had a Laney VC-30 amp; a Mesa Boogie 20/20....both very nice amps, but neither compare to the Mesa Boogie Blue Angel!!!
2 6V6s for 18watts
4 EL84s for 30 watts
combine the 2 for 38watts of pure quot;Class Aquot; fun!!!!
I've got a 4x10 amp; it's one bad@ss blues/rock/country machine!!!!!
HUghes amp; Kettner Tube 20 got 'em. I got one and really like it.
Check it out!

These are great choices. Carvin's tweed model (Belaire?) uses El84's too.
