I know Boss make one so does Fender. What do you use?

I use the Boss, but I think I'd rather have that new Peterson Strobe floor pedal. Or a quot;regularquot; Peterson strobe.

I use the Boss...it's cheep, works pretty damn well, if ti were to break I can get another one anywhere, plus when Im on stage I don't have to bother the crowd tuning my guitar!

Korg DTR1000

Boss TU-12H

The one built into my Line6 or my Boss TU-12H.

I use my Boss Tu-2 Pedal Tuner...this thing is GREAT...I absolutely love it..and I think every guitarist should have one at their feet. If I didn't have it, I'd probably get like a Boss TU-12 and hook it up to the tuner out of my volume pedal, but I love the TU-2...and every guitarist needs one

I want one!

My guitar teacher had that Korg rack one that works like a lighthouse which would be killer as well...

what do the tuning pedals do???

A guitar tuner built into a pedal so you can have it on the floor in front of you at a gig.

I've been gigging with a Boss TU-2 for over 3 years now and it does the job excellently. It has a clear display that's easy to read in any lighting conditions, it has seven tuning modes (guitar, flat guitar, double flat guitar, bass, flat bass, double flat bass, chromatic), the battery (if you use it on battery) lasts for ages, it does silent tuning, and it's compact and sturdy (the standard Boss pedal format). I don't notice any degradation in tone having it between my guitar and amp. It fully meets my needs and I don't see me needing to buy another tuner.

CoolThanks for the quick replies. I guess it's the boss

i use a boss tu-2 also and it's great quick and easy to use and see...i'd be lost without it there. plus since it goes into a bypass mode when you step on it and cuts the sound off from the amp it makes a great kill switch so to speak for certain songs where you need dead silence in a certain area.

also makes a great kill switch for changing guitars...I recommend all guitar players/electric stringed instrument (banjo, violin, etc) players in bands to have one of these!

Has anyone else ever stepped on the TU-2 by mistake when they're about to do a solo, or is it just me?

I've got the Fender Chromatic Stage tuner on my pedal board. but I've also got a BOSS TU-2, both work just fine for me.
Rock On

I use the tuner built in to my Magic Stomp. I used to use an Akai but I don't have room for it on my current (compact) board. The Peterson tuners are da bomb. They're 30x more accurate than any of the other tuners mentioned in this thread. I use one of their non-pedal units for setting intonation and tuning in quot;criticalquot; situations such as recording.

funny you say that...i only use two pedals for the most part the tu-2 and a MXR EVH phase 90...i wasn't paying attention during rehersal..was watching my drummer for a change during a new song we were trying out for the first time and i went tio hit the phase 90 and whoops...hit the TU-2...that killed that run through lol. now i look down every time just in case hehe.

I need a new tuner, but play mostly at home. Do you think it would be better to snag a Tu-2 on ebay, or just get a new yamaha 20 dollar tuner? I need something pretty accurate to set my intonation, but don't want to spend too much.

To me, the TU-2 is most useful for it's ability to chain power to other pedals. If it weren't for that feature, I wouldn't see any purpose to it at all.

I have a BOSS TU2 Pedal Tuner and I think it's great.

It's very practical to have a tuner with me there onstage, and it also powers the other pedals on my board.
