Who has experience with these? Both the A2 and A5 mags? And the Fralin PAF's?

Are the MF sets even winds? what about the Fralins?

I have a set of the 50th Ann. Seth Lovers from MF. Mine are A2, and IMO, they're the closest thing you'll get to a primo PAF set. They're just a tiny bit hotter than regular Seths. Plus, the covers look sharp.

I had the Fralins several years ago, and while the neck was impeccable, the bridge seemed a tiny bit bright to my ears. Then I went to a CC/Seth set in that guitar, which was better. When I saw the 50th Ann Seths, I decided to move to those.
The Seth bridge isn't quite as hot as the CC, but the tone is exceptionally fine!

At $300, they're like paying for 3 pickups and getting 2. But those 2 are about as good as it gets.

In the interest of a future project, I sure would like to know how those 50th Anniv's compare to the Benedetto A6's and PAF's.

Mind you, that's a bit of a rhetorical question since I doubt that you've tried all those. (Then again . . . It is you.)

Artie

Is there a difference between the 50th Ann Seths and the regular production ones -- other than the stamp/engraving on the cover, that is?

Thanks for the feedback GJ....

Anyone tried the A5 version?
