Im in need of a Banjitar, what do you recommend? What are our thoughts on Goldtone stuff? Please Help!!!

Deering makes a 6 string banjo in guitar tuning. David Hidalgo in Los Lobos plays one. And they're made in the USA.

google knows about the banjitar deals ... dunno much about them other than they dont sound quite right to me (as compared to a real banjo) because the notes are all wrong .. they get the right tone, but the note order of a real banjo has something to do with that shortened 5th string that is higher in pitch but physically above the bass strings ..
