my frets on my guitar are a little to high for my liking. the frets that i dont like are #12- 22 on my neck . is this possible to do at home without ruining my frets? any help is appreciated

In this case, those frets need to be leveled or replaced with smaller ones (likely the former will suffice), about 150$ and a few hours for a competent tech...

Anyone other than a competent tech will likely cause more damage than good

Dont even try it bro!!!!!!! Fretwork is very tricky and it takes a long time to get any good at it! If you are interested in having this service done, I can do this in my shop!

ok, i wont do it myself lol im gonna take it up to my local shop and have htem do it this weekend
