Im seriously thinking about getting one of their 50 watt or 100 watt heads. I hear they sound a lot like Hiwatts, an amp I've always wanted . So if anyone could give me some info about them maybe some clips that would be really helpful.

It says nu-metal a bunch on the info on the site which kind of makes me think it might be to well...nu-metal...The AD sounded to me to be more what I want. A fairly simple tube head with good clean tone and a nice driven sound. But Im not really sure Ive never heard either of them.

Edit: Im thinking that the 140w might be overkill for me though and I would like to have it cranked some what so the 30w would definitly be a better choice than the 140w.

Do you play in a band or at home? 140w seems excessive for most playing situations.

Yeah I was just thinking the extra 110w I could do without heh. I usually play at local venues so the 30w would be ideal I think.

The 30 will rip your head off. I haven't played the new line but I had an AD15 which was pretty cool. It was a bit to small for gigging for me and a bit too big for home recording but I would love a head or the 30wt 2x12 combo.

from : localhost/LPC with a CC into the 15wt.

sweet, 2 questions - 1- is that last lick the same lick from the tone samples page on the seymour duncan site? and 2 - do you have the presence turned up pretty high on that recording?

I have an AD30 head and it's an awesome amp.

It doesn't have all that much clean headroom, but it's great when you set the gain at about 2-3 so if you play soft it's clean and if you play hard it sightly breaks up

Oranges and Hiwatts also accept pedals very well (imo anyway ) so this also helps add to their versatility too

There is no Presence, it was mic'd with an SM57 which might give itthat feel.

I was also thinking about a Hiwatt 50w head. Would that be more versatile?
