Well, I installed a seymour duncan dimebucker in my bridge and i can't get the pickup height any higher. The spring is as compressed as it can be. The string is 11/16 of inch high, and the pickup at its peak rests at 5/16 of inch. Its only obvious i can't unleash the power of this pickup. If anyone can help me get the pickup higher by either getting longer screws that fit or by cutting the spring or something, any comments would be of great help. Thankyou.

Is your action set really high? My Dimebucker goes up far enough.

Cut the springs
How long is the spring? The ones I use are about 1.4 inches long or so, (come with the Duncans) and I've never had that problem.

You DON'T NEED SPRINGS with the Dimebucker; that's where your problem is.
Take the srpings out and use the little black screws that came with the pickup to mount it.

that should help solve your problem.

Well, first i took out the springs and the pup ended up being too high. So i incrementally cut the springs down till i got the desired height. Thanks alot for all the help.

strangely, i never use the springs that come with pickups, theyre always way too big. i always just put the old springs on
