I've heard that one of the problems with my particular head is the reverb...if that's ALL that ever goes wrong with it, I'll be happy..I hardly use it anyway...

anywho, here's what happens and here are my questions..

the reverb still switches 'on and off'..in that, I mean that from the footpedal, the light that says the reverb on or off is still working...

thing is, even when the light says it's off, there's still reverb comming through..weird..

the light says it's disengaged, but it seems to be permanently on..so to rectify this, I just turned the reverb level to zero...

this is just a function I use when I play in my room..I never use reverb live....

my question is this, will this screw up my amp in any way? having it on all the time and just leveled down to zero? I have the GC extra warranty, but I dread having to deal with them these days...I guess I really should bring it in to have it fixed..when I can get some time to do so...

so, in the meantime, it's not going to mess up any other elements of my amp, is it? from what I understand (and I'm by no means an expert) it's a totally separate circuit from the rest of the amp...

any help would be appreciated..thanks!

if you have a reverb tank it's a simple fix. Most reverb tank's output is still active even when switched off. So if you slap your amp you'll hear it ring through. I had this same problem with my legacy and I replaced the reverb tank, quick and easy fix. like $10-$20 for a tank.

It could be something else too. I'm not an amp expert. But reverb problems if they are simple can usually be narrowed down to the tank, cables, or reverb driver tube.

that's what some people have been saying...something about the reverb tank....

I should be ok playing it though even with the reverb level at zero right? I'm waiting on a new cab to come via UPS so I wanna see how it sounds before I have to do anything about getting my amp fixed..
