I got my package from USACG and their work is phenominal. The neck is exactly what I hoped it would feel like, which amazes me as the only basis of what this would feel like, width and etc.. came verbally from Tommy.
The frets need no work, the neck joint has no gaps and could not be be tighter, everything is just spot on. They survived UPS, and the packaging was great. Besides it took taking a little longer then expected, the end product is perfect.
Neck Specks. Soft V with .890 width, 11/16ths at the nut, 10 inch radius board, 25 inch scale, 2 piece birdseye maple neck, 6150 frets, black fret markers.
Body is just your typically alder tele body.
Now I just need to buy paint from reranch tonight. I feel pretty confident in spraying it, all except for the part of waiting a month for it to cure. Dont know if I can do that..
Now for what you all want... pics... Sorry they are a little blurry as the light was a little low and made the camera increase its shutter time.
Nice
Nice. Keep us updated. I'd like to know how the reranch stuff works for you since I'm going to be doing this same thing at some point, except the body will be ash instead of alder. That'll require some sand and sealer before color coats.
I've got some reranch clear and sand and sealer if you want it at a discounted price. I was going to use it, but went with poly instead. Let me know!
Nice! Those necks are as good as it gets. What color are you going to spray it with? Are you getting American Tele parts off Ebay, or are you going to get aftermarket ones?
Not to sound incredibly perverted bought when I read what u said, I thought of the dirtiest thing possible.
nice headstock!!

The body I'm shooting for a vintage white. I'm gonna with some Fender neck amber to set the birdseye off. Its going to be nitro, and I know a few people who could probably help me spray, as they have the guns and the experience. I want to spray what I can though, so I can put myself into this guitar.
Parts after market. As I feel no sense making this into a fender as I already bastardized it with a 25quot; scale . Also I don't think they will offer anything that would be better then what I want to install.
I bought a fender 3 barrel compensated bridge that has been upgraded with handmade saddles and had the lower lip shaved.
Tuners I'm going with staggered locking Sperzels.
Pickups I'm going Lollar T Specials.
Cheapest tele control panel I can find.
4-way switching so I can put them in series.
Off brand black bakelight tele pickguard.
300k pots as these are supposed to be some really hot pickups.
Graphite nut.
Schaller strap locks.
SKB case.

Haha, yea after pressing submit I did too, I took on Nigel's voice from Spinal Tap and thought aloud, quot;Provocative indeed...quot;
THAT is gonna be one gorgoeus Tele, congrats! ...I'm wondering how the 25quot; scale will affect the tone..very little I'm sure but I wonder if it'll end up being a bit warmer and less twangy..kinda like Jake E. Lees 24.75quot; strats
nice parts
if you take a look at my ash strat, you can get some idea of how your neck can turn out with a light amber tint
have fun putting it together

Thats exactly what I want my neck to look like, perhaps a hair lighter, but then again that could have been the camera on yours. I can't wait to see all the grain it brings out that I'm not even seeing yet when it gets dyed.
I've noticed you like those oil finishes, and I feel like it would be much safer and more simple to do an oil finish on the neck. My question is, how well do they hold up?
I cant wait til my maple/maple custom headstock USACG neck comes in!! YAY!
