sweet tele sounds...but im partial to a les paul or the like for blues...
unless its more jazz than blues then a tele comes in handy chris
I must say I like blues on Pauls, Teles, Strats, 335's....
I like any blues Marin plays...no matter what he uses
Hmm it really has become quite distinctive that sound...
nice stuff
very very very cool! thanks!
thanks Rid, John and RiffRaff.
Whoa . . . hey MB. Is there any chance I could have your permission to play this track down in a little hole-in-the-wall beer joint, in old St. Augustine, Fl? (Oldest city in America.) This place is smaller than your bedroom, and has a selection of like 300 beers and wine. The place is usually full of European tourists and this track is perfect.
Makes me want to smoke a cigarette.

Very nice!! That guitar is extremely 3D, how did you mic it? The phrasing is beautiful. The space you toss in between runs is fantastic. I love that kind of stuff.
you are blessed! i really like the tone you carry...
I gotta say, your playing style is ****ing awesome, what pickups are in your tele and what amp do u play through
What a natural tone!!
It´s marvelous. What mic do you use? A condenser mic? Kevlar said it already...where´s the mic position?
Questions...questions

Artie! You have my permission anytime! I wish I could join you for a beer as well (not a smoke....I quit 3 years ago).

I use a SM57 and I keep it around 60° off axis at the edge of the cone, more less at the angle I am listening to the amp (which is on the floor).

tasty licks there, friend ... i agree with Kev ... very quot;3Dquot; sound .. has a very appealing 'hollowness' that comes and goes with your right hand attack in just the right places
