Hey - as well as looking for a good 'real' amp for my more modern tastes, I'd also love to get ahold of a vintage [style] small tube amp. I was thinking like... old champ or copy, crate V-5, or something of the sort. Cheap = good, but it can't be a total POS either. Any ideas?
an old gibby GA-5 is a good one as is a silverface champ(blackfacing it is pretty easy). Both can be had cheap and are great amplifiers
Laney LC 15 Mrk II!! She sounds pretty sweet out of thebox, but she is also easy to fiddle with ( tubes and Speaker ) if you want to experiment with sound.
heard that the cornford is quite a good amp. 6 watts
Yea Laneys can be found pretty cheap. I would definately consider them.

But doesn't really come into the cheap price range though, is a great amp, heard some excellent reviews of it.
Fender Blues Junior or Pro Junior
Or Reverend Goblin there's still a little time left to get a Reverend. Sweet little amps.
