The only manufacturer I know of to address this issue is Kinman -- his website brags quot;you can now have your E-strings back!quot; I bought a neck model of his a few years ago (AVn 56 I think -- pretty mellow) and it was as advertised, the poles lined up perfectly with the strings in the neck position.

So why is he the only one?

And why has NO-ONE bothered with a wider pole spacing for bridge pickups, where not only is the string spacing wider but the pickup is slanted, pulling the poles even further off the E-strings?
