here are some pics of my 82 USA epiphone spirit. This is 1 great guitar. I traded in my SG faded for it. What little info I could find out on it is that it was made in Nashville even though the headstock says kalamazoo. This is supposed to be the maple top version with the bound body.. which is supposed to be even rarer. It has the schaller bridge with brass saddles, a creme dirty fingers pickup and a dark tortouse pickguard. This is a powerchording machine... the neck is just awesome
SWEET! I've always thought that some of the vintage Epiphones looked great and I bet that thing sounds killer.

Wanna sell it. Drooooooool.

woah, that's sweet....very nice trade IMO.

Nice!

I dont think thats a Dirty Fingers though, the DF's are supposed to have 12 adjustable poles.

then again i could be wrong, anyway enjoy

trade of 2005, dude! what colour was the faded?

That is gorgeous. I LOVE the old epiphones.

love it

That's very cool! It's got mojo. The Dirty Fingers is a cool touch. Those are reportedly some great pickups. I was too young and poor to own a Gibson back in that era, so I've never heard them myself. You don't see them often these days.

thats damn cool lookin

you are right about the dirty fingers.. i should have known that, i had 1 in the SG i traded in ( i took it out before i traded it). I have no idea what pickup this is but it sounds great. I just took the strings off and took the pickup out and all it has is the pat# that is on all the gibson pickups. All the info i can find says the came with creme dirty fingers

Imp, the SG i traded in was the worn brown finish.

i'll be holding on to this 1 for awhile

That's a sweet deal and a super sweet guitar... enjoy!

Great axe... Congrats!!!

That is a Schaller bridge, isnt' it?

Definately a good 'garage band' guitar. Who knows, you could be the next Nick Valensi! (Guitarist in The Strokes, in case you don't know)

I really want to play one of those. How thick is the neck?

that is one killer axe! How is the neck???

the neck is 1 5/8 at the nut with what i would call a shallow C profile. Not to thick and not to thin, it just fits my hand perfect... great for chording or soloing.... there is no fretting out anywhere... being over 20 years old the frets are still in good shape too.... it really is an awesome guitar. I'm surprised i had never heard of them before. I wish i could find out what pickup is in it.

The day i picked up the guitar i also picked up the VG mag with Zakk on the cover and there happened to be a little article about some USA epiphones in it.

oh i know who Nick is.. the strokes are 1 of my favorite bands.... I've actually just really started getting into quot;room on firequot; , when it first came out i was disappointed in it, but now i think it is a great CD.

He has his own EPiphone Model out now.

Quite cool axe, but I'd replace the pup amp; pot knobs with black ones...

yeah it has the schaller bridge. I need to look up some info on it because i don't think it was stringed right when i got it.... it seems like the strings should wrap around the top but im not sure
