while flicking through some all to brief satriani legato tips one kinda stumped me.

the only way that i can interpret this ends up with your plalm perpendicular to the fret board. and this seems imposible... how do you play the e and a strings??
so either i have taken this tip the wrong way or, um, or somthing...
could anyone help me out hear, i could barley sleep last night in puzeling!!!
