Which one wins the Tim The Toolman Taylor quot;More Powerquot; award?
Seriously, has anyone A/B'd these two?
Warpig.
I would ask the folks over at BKP for a detailed comaprison.
i think tim would stick a ceramic magnet under it, hook that up to a car batery, start wailing, set the guitar on fire, get himself burnt and as usual, end up in the ER.
i say warpig, but havent actualy used either, so this one doesnt count much, does it
One thing's for sure on the Warpig -- there wouldn't be any complaints about lack of beef when you split the coils!
Tim the quot;toolmanquot; Taylor would use a DiMarzio X2N. Probably self modified with a few extra winds as well. - ooh ooh ooh !!!
It would be tough to make a passive humbucker with more output than the Invader. The coils are wound to over 16k (which is resonably hot), but the real beef comes from the fact that there are three large ceramic magnets in an Invader. It has more magnetism than any other pickup I have ever seen. We would have to do a millivolt comparison to really know for sure, though.

Absolutely. The wind is only part of it, the screw lugs are another, and the magnet yet another.
