I see M-Audio makes one but who else is producing them and what are the best options? Now that I'm recording live drums I need more mic preamps and ADAT seems to be the way to go.

I run a Presonus Digimax into my digital side of Pro Tools for 8 additional Pre's. The Digimax's pre's are pristine as hell.

Thats what I'm looking to do, add another 8 mic inputs to my G5 - Digi 002 rack. With me, cost isn't as big an issue as sound quality. I don't mind saving a buck but the tone has to be there.

I'm also thinking about adding another Aphex 207 tube mic pre/Dbx 166xl/Dbx 1231 chain for my line 7 and 8 inputs. Four tube mic pre channel with outboard compression and EQ, four Focusrite preamp and an additional 8 from adat would just about do what I need.

Thanks, I'll look into the Presonus. I like what I've heard about some of their other pieces.
