Anyone see something wrong with this picture? Found this on ebay, is it just me or is something missing? anyone have an explanation?

Air pickups?
I saw this guitar once where the body was made of transparent material, and there was a massive hole where the pups and electronics should be - and you bought modules to fit in it!! So, with 3 minutes and a screwdriver, you could go from 2 humbuckers to 3 p90s, or whatever. Didn't have to change strings or aything. SUCH a cool idea!!!
Anyway - you could do it with that!
hmm... where would the trem springs anchor? that's the only functionality issue I see... a misguided attempt at a hollowbody I suppose
Or just make it into a hardtail that's the smart decision anyways

hmm, i once read a guitar magazine where some guy made this guitar where here hollowed out the middle like that and put the pickups on rollers to slide from bridge to neck positions, he said this was he could slide it and get every single tone spot on the guitar, i think he said he found 12 different tonal points in that tiny space, i guess you could do that with it...

thats the only problem i guess, but as he said, it could just become a hardtail...
Wow... that things not worth a cent, nevermind $31. The guitar looks cheap, it's beat to heck and there is a massive gaping hole through the center of it. This is a guitar that has been mauled in a bad, bad way.
if you do ever find out what the deal is with that bizare body, let us all know will ya, the guy on ebay seemed to brush over it as if the wasnt a gaping hole in the body, lol
Reminds me of the Les Paul with changable pickup quot;blocksquot; that Gearjoneser found on the bay for a while ago and posted about here!
Our maybe someone tried to convert the poor strat and put this mic arrangement in it....um,don't remember what it's called... But here's a quite bad pic of Joe Perry with one.
