This might be a dumb question but i am just wondering what's the hottest pickup you have used, what body type did you use for it, and did it basically sound good? Also not just for searing tones, did it sound good for versitality?

Mine I think is the Invader and i honestly couldn't be more happy i play mostly heavier stuff but i will always enjoy some class. God, the invader is ****ing beautiful i have it in the bridge of a alder jackson.

X2N....was in an alder bodied superstrat with a maple neck. Was fantastic sounding although not good for much else other than hard-rock/metal. Couldn't get a useable clean tone out of it.

Ddesigned distortion
mohangy bodies schecter c1FR
great for metal
cleans weren't eactly 'good'

The invader is probably the highest output pick-up I have used. And I loved it.

Used it in an Alder Strat, a ??? BC Rich Mockingbird, and a ??? ESP H-50

Liked it in all of 'em.

Rock On

the X2N is the hottest i've tried. It was in a i think alder explorer. It doesn't sound bad but it's just abit over the top if you aks me.

The Live Wire Heavy Metal Bridge. If there is something hotter please let me know.

1... Great for metal, but not really too good at anything else IMO...

But there are even hotter setups such as High output passives w/ additional active electronics( Jackson USA Preamps, EMG Afterburner...)

Invader is the hottest I've ever tried. Can't say that it's quot;versatilequot;, though if wired for Spin-A-Split and maybe replace the middle magnet with an Alnico 5, it might be.

The Invader copy in a KE3, sounded pretty decent although the guitar was out of the range...
