I want to wire my guitar like this ;
Setup is
Hot strat live wire set SSH
5 way switch (standard strat setup)
One push pull (6th switch position Single coil neck Humbucker bridge)
3 pots ;
1 = main volune (the push pull pot)
2 = volume of the humbucker (so when I´m in the 6th or the 4th position I can blend the hum a bit)
3 = tone for the 2 single coils
How do I do this ????
Please help
I hope for your sake that somebody can think of an easy way to cheat this problem, but I'm pretty sure that there's no way to do this easily.The main volume is easy, and so is volume for just the humbucker. The problem is the tone for 2 single coils.
The control, if after the switch, affects all pickups. If you run it before the switch, you can only assign it to one of the single coils.
You could run both single coils through it before you switch, but then you wouldn't be able to switch between the coils anymore, they'd either both be always on, or always off!!!
I can't think of any way for a basic strat switch to run a switched signal to the tone pot, without running the humbucker there as well.
Unless someone else has a magic solution that I missed, your options are: Make it a master tone, Make it a tone for only one, and leave the other pickup at full tone, Add another pot or switch somewhere.
You can get close by doing something like this:The tone control will be active for the first 4 positions, but will be out of the circuit when you select quot;bridge-onlyquot;.
I'll have to think about the rest of your question.
