I have a les paul custom and i was just wondering how a tremelo system would affect the tone of a les paul?

Depends a good part on which type of trem we´re looking at...

Floyd? Bigsby? Schaller LP Trem? Kahler Pro?

Setsbar might be a choice.

Never tried one but they claim to be easilly mounted and offering the same tone you had before with articulation and tuning stability. Curiously never read a review or heard anyone's opinion so I'm starting to believe it may be a fake... too bad.

I guess I was talking about one of those strat type trems if thats possible.

I warn you this is just my thinking, you'll be wiser to wait for someone else to chime in who has a bit more knowledge.

A strat trem would take out a part of the mahogany and possibly not proving alot of meat to your pups. It might make the guitar a bit brighter preciselly due to the lack of mahogany.
