Well I always thought that 1mm was just... normal action. Well I know it's low, but I thought that with some TLC all guitars can achieve that without any buzz. Apparently 1 mm is EXTREMELY low... Point is, it's what I'm used to. Anything over 2mm is unplayable for me
So, what are usually considered low or high or 'medium' actions? I know there's another thread about it but I don't know if the values used in the poll are recognized as standard.
See what people say in the thread, that will tell you the averages, im guessing thats what the poll is there for.
I just wanted a rough idea of what the average kinda action height was.. what would you like me to label 1mm as? Not many people I know have actions lower than 1mm so in my opinion (being nearly the lowest action height possible without buzz) it is extreamly low. I myself have an action height of about 1.3mm, which suits me fine, but weather it suits me or not your not gunna get much lower. And you'll see by looking at the poll some people voted for 4/5mm and I bet they'd agree that 1mm is extreamly low, just cuz ure used to it, doesn't mean its not EXTREAMLY low.
I never said that they were wrong, I was just asking because 1mm is what I'm used to and all I know and I was wondering if therefore I shouldn't expect it to get that low on any guitars. I can't play on anything higher anymore
