I had to do something similar to the x-bat because my guitar didn't have enough room for two 9v batteries required by the Duncan Livewires set.
Seems like crap to me.
Just something to waste space, and it'd probably be easier to have an insane wiring setup than to use that.
THe guitarmax is a cool idea, but probably won´t catch on because of the typical guitarist being conservative.... too bad, a clean, neat box as opposed to 4-5 miniswitches, and infinitely more versatility....
As soon as you´ve wired up a guitar with 3xon-off-parallel, 2 coil cuts, and phasing, (or BC Rich Electronics) that thing suddenly looks like a godsend
