Got this in today, and got the metal pack for it tonight - ****ing orgasmic! I love it!
C-1 Classic into TS-9 into the PODxt, quadracked. The 5150 model was used for 2 tracks - hard left and hard right, while I used a Triple Recto model 80% left, and the L6 Big Bottom model 80% right. Same bass and drum tracks.
One thing I really changed in this mix was the haunting guitar melody; it's panned now . Also, I changed the solo a bit, but I think I like the old one better.
That said, I'm really happy with the sound of this, and I haven't even EQ'd or slapped reverb or compression on the drums, at all.

Very good!
THE MIDS JUMPED Out, and the middle highs too.
i m hearing a 5150 tone really on this clip
hahaahahahahahahah
Sounds great man.
I knew you'd like the PODXT
i miss my guitar port
You got the Loomis mojo flowin in that solo
Ah, the mid spike seems much tamed now. Actually sounds a LOT like the tone DIE had going on their first demo(which a lot of people myself included creamed over at the time).
I like the haunting melody and stuff but I think it needs vocals to really feel like a complete song. Good job dude- it's impressive as always.
That is freakin' killer. Nice work. Don't put any reverb on the drums. They sound good the way they are. Reverb would make them lost in the mix. And for this style, dry is better to keep things tight.
