I really never use the middle/bridge position of my 5 way so i thought of this-

Middle
Neck
Bridge

This would work if i put the leads in that order right? I want position 1 to be middle, 2 would be neck middle, 3 would be neck, 4 is neck bridge, and 5 would be bridge.

yeah it works fine, ive done that before. you may want to switch the middle and neck pup on the guitar if the middle is rw/rp so that youll still get humcancelling in pos 2 amp; 4

I did that on my fat strat.

and i'll be doing the 50's mod.

Nope. .044uf. Its resistors that divide when paralleled. Caps add.

btw - Thats how I have my Genny done. With the 5-way straight up is the neck. Going backwards is like a 3-way with the neck amp; bridge. Going forward is like a 3-way with the neck amp; middle. I love it.

(Edit: Two .022's in series will be .011.)

My strat was the first guitar I soldered up so i had to run through a few cold solder joints (I've gotten ALOT better at soldering over the past two years) and I just went for the opportunity to wire it up differently.

I'll do the cap thing later, the tone in 'tele mode' is just so awesome I played for three straight hours after I finished! I loved my strat before, but now I'm totally hooked!

Just wired up my Strat the other night, I love the tone of the neck amp; bridge pups together. I've been a Strat player for over 20 years and I'll never have the stock wiring again. I'm gald you like yours as well.....enjoy.

Do you guys set your bridge pickups nice and high for maximum twang?
