Hey hey, i picked up a cheap version one M-Box by digidesign the other day, and it came with amplitube software.
Thing is, when i bend sustained notes i get this crazy swooshing moving harmonics sound in the background, wierd noise. Is that a problem with the software that I can't do anything about? Bit of a shame if it is, there are some great sounds on there.
I got a trial version of it with guitar pro 3. There was only a few useable sounds I could get from it. In today's world of amp modelers it's pretty lame IMHO. The Line 6 guitar port blows it away !!
Yeah, i've just picked up a couple of mics cheap on ebay, i'm gonna try getting some good results the old school way.
Just say no to amplitube!! One of the worst plugin modelers I've ever heard. Unless your looking for a decent overdrive or some of the most thin high gain sounds ever then you'll hate it. And yes amplitube makes some strange noises from time to time, I really don't know what it is or what can be done about it.
cool, cheers for the advice, i'm looking forward to my SM57 and akg condenser now!
it can have some cool uses on non-guitar sources like drum machines and keyboards. it can dirty them up in an interesting lo-fi way. but i agree it doesn't sound real at all as an amp emulator.
the only decent use i've ever gotten out of it is for fattening/warming up bass tracks. for guitar, it's worthless.
friends don't let friends use amplitube, my buddy has it and I hate it, its irritating to use and sounds bad.
Which AKG Condensor mic did you get mate?
