If a guitar teacher teaches lessons out of a guitar shop that he doesnt own, and you don't pay him directly for the lessons, is it proper to tip him each lesson?
no, i don't think so
No. He's getting paid by the shop.
If he doesn't set the lesson rate at a figure that he can live with, he's a fool. I might tip him at Christmas if he does a good job, but otherwise, he's getting the rate that he charges. After all, he set the rate in the first place.
