hey guys.. I just recently bought a 59n for my showmaster... I did the wiring today.. and the neck position was humming all the time.. and the sound was so small.. I barely can hear it... and another problem is.. this 59n came with single conducter, so it is different with my TB-5 which has 4 conductors.. I confused between soldering it into the back of the pot or to the selector (3 way selector), so I soldered it into the selector.. and the result is like the above....
So what I want to ask is, can someone tell me the schematic of wiring a 59n with single conducter..please...
thanks guys...

I soldered mine to the back of the pot and the leg on the volume pot. I believe you should have wires coming from the middle leg of the volume pot going to the selector switch.

mmm.. i think i don't have any wire coming from the middle leg of the volume pot going to the selector switch.... because the original pickup has 2 cables (black and white), the 59n has only 1 cable....
so what do I have to do??

Actually, it's two conductors. The quot;hotquot; wire is inside the ground shield. You have to strip back some of the shield to reveal the inner wire. The shield goes to the back of the pot, or ground, and the center wire goes to the selector switch.

This is for two humbuckers, but the concept is the same. (SHowing the co-axial cable.)

you mean the grey coloured shield covering the wire?? ok I'll try that first..
thanks artie...
